Modesty Blaise: A commentary is forthcoming, but in the meantime, we'd be remiss if we didn't suggest you check out a real find. Before Jim Holdaway was given the assignment to illustrate this strip, Dan Dare's creator Frank Hampson was given a try-out. Hampson wasn't quite suited for Modesty, but his try-out panels were nevertheless breathtaking in their detail and depth, and you can see some of the surviving examples at The Lost Characters of Frank Hampson.
