Unfinished versions of Judge Dredd: Dredd Vs. Death sent out for reviewRebellion, developer of the forthcoming Judge Dredd: Dredd Vs. Death for PC, PlayStation 2, Xbox and GameCube announced today that due to a duplication error at a third party, unfinished beta builds of the game have been sent out for review as 'finished' games to a number of magazines across PC, PlayStation 2 and Xbox formats. Rebellion are currently investigating how this happened, and trying to track down the rogue builds of the game. Rebellion CEO and Creative Director Jason Kingsley says, "We first realised there had been some sort of foul-up when we started hearing feedback from the early round of magazine reviews, which highlighted issues with the game that we knew had been sorted out in later builds of the game. Obviously this is a massive blow to us, as we have been working on Dredd for a number of years and we have a great deal of faith in the game, backed up by the warm responses we have seen and had reports of from people who have played the correct versions. Our aim now is to make sure that all remaining review copies of the game to be sent out will be finished builds that offer an accurate picture of the quality of the game." It has also been announced that the release date for Judge Dredd: Dredd Vs. Death on PC, PS2 and Xbox has now been moved back to the early part of October. A specific release date will be announced when it is confirmed. Currently the GameCube release date of 21 November is unaffected. Visit the official Judge Dredd: Dredd Vs.
