3: Maximan - 2000AD Winter Special 1988

Axis Mundi, Alternative 23: We are in an alternate dimension, one in which Maximan was not killed, although he has been blinded. He talks to Mantra about the war against the Lloigor - the Many Angled Ones. He learns that Smiley Sun is dead, that Hotspur was ‘occupied’ and that the Lloigor have taken Alternative 257. The two superhumans then discuss Zenith, recounting his childhood raised by his grandparents the McDowells, his rise to fame as a singer, and his battle against Iok Sotot as told in ‘Phase I: Tygers’. We also discover that Zenith is from Alternative 230. Maximan warns that the Alignment draws near, the Omnihedron, and that Zenith may be their last hope.
