Schiehallion, Scotland: February 10, 1988: St John, still communicating telepathically, suggests he can take over Wallace’s mind if Zenith directs him. Zenith instead tries to talk Wallace into stopping the missiles. He points out that taking over the world wouldn’t be as fun as it sounds - he’d have to deal with unemployment, drugs, wars, crime, etc. Wallace starts to have doubts; he doesn’t want to be a Hitler. Convinced to stop the missiles, he types the cancellation password onto his computer: “SORRY”.
As Zenith walks out St John telepathically cuts the electricity to the base - trapping Wallace inside his room in the dark.
