Prologue: Message in a Bottle - 2000AD prog 626

Alternative 666: February 14, 1988: Two Lloigor superhumans survey the destruction they have caused on this Alternative, and the few surviving superheroes are in hiding. Tiger Tom is nursing a sick Tammy. Prince Mamba had created a tape (a small coin-sized disk) with a message on it asking for help. Tom gives this disk to Jimmy Quick to take it through the Bridge, which is being protected from the Lloigor by Mr Why.
However, when he gets to the Bridge, he finds that Mr Why has been possessed by the Lloigor and gone on a killing spree. As Jimmy runs through the Bridge, he is consumed by a firey blast from Mr Why’s eyes.
