Axis Mundi: Alternative 23: Mantra greets Archie, Zenith and the Cloud 9 superhumans as they arrive inside a giant rock tower. She leads them through into a bigger chamber where they see the few hundred other superheroes who have been gathered to this meeting. Zenith can’t help but make jokes and ridicule the costumed heroes around him, and Mantra gives him a telling off. She tells him they’ve all been called together here at Maximan’s request. Zenith points out that Maximan has been dead for decades, and Mantra explains that this is the Maximan from Alterative 23, who survived the Berlin A-bomb. Then Maximan appears, and the meeting can begin.
