8: Adventure Playground - 2000AD prog 634

Alternative 666: March 12, 1989: Springheeled Jock remembers how “Miss Wonderstarr’s Magic Kingdom” used to be; a theme park paradise for kids. Since Miss Wonderstarr was taken over by the Lloigor it has become a concentration camp. He’d heard that Tommy Trident was about to try to rescue the prisoners kept there and so he has come to help. He arrives first though, and blasts himself into Miss Wonderstarr. She goes flying and crashes through the barbed-wire fences holding her prisoners. They lay into her grabbing and scratching at her. Tommy Trident turns up and is about to finish her off when she pleads to him, claiming that the Lloigor has just left her. He hesitates and she shoots him with bolts from he eyes. Jock makes another attempt to knock her down but this time she catches him.
There is a PLINK! and suddenly Miss Wonderstarr is surrounded by Ben’s team of superhumans.
