19: Shaming the Devil - 2000AD prog 660

Alternative 303: March 14, 1989: DJ Chill causes the temperature to drop inside Streamline’s force field - forcing him to talk. He tells them that Maximan had lied to them; that the Alignment was happening now, rather then in a month’s time. He tells them that when they destroyed Alternatives 666 and 257 they weren’t damaging the Omnihedron but removing a flaw in it. They had been used to do the Lloigor’s work for them, and in the process Ace Hart and Captain Miracle have been taken over by the Many-Angled Ones. He tells them that the Lloigor plan to set the Omnihedron vibrating by destroying another world (Alternative 230 - Zenith’s home world) so that they can ascend to “Point Zenith” where they will become a part of everything that has ever existed - ultimate power.
DJ Chill then reduces Streamline’s temperature to a fatal -210° C. Peter and Mantra head back to Alternative 23 to face Maximan, while the others go to save Alternative 230.
