Raiders DATELINE 2008 AD LOCATION London WEAPONRY Besides their native intelligence and almost preternatural talent for cracking computer problems, Codey and Meg also have a variety of high-tech weapons for their tasks. Principle amongst these is the Difference Engine, a handheld diagnostic interface. The D/E almost incorporates a cellphone, 'net linkage, cable TV access and sundry satellite uplinks. SOUNDBITE Codey: "I have got to stop talking to myself!" Meg: "I will survive!" TRADEMARK Young, gifted and slack! Codey & Meg are too cool to work for one of the big multi-nationals, preferring to use their street smarts to steal work. Forget surfing the 'net, this pair go Bladin'! MOTIVATION Codey is a R.A.M. Raider, a computer repairman who raids business off larger repair companies. Meg is his assistant and long-suffering girlfriend. BACKSTORY Codey swiped a job at Canary Wharf repairing the computer which controls the building, but began to regret his actions when the computer tried to kill him! He called in his assistant Meg and together they discovered the system was possessed by a psychotic intelligence. Having evacuated Canary Wharf, the pair set an explosion to destroy the computer and tried to flee the building themselves. But Meg was caught in the blast and killed. Afterwards, Codey is pulled from the rubble for medical treatment and he sees Meg still alive, preserved as a digital ghost. Before he loses consciousness, she kisses him - but surely a ghost can not kiss a living person? Is Meg dead or alive?
