How did Wagner and Grant come up with the name T.B. Grover, and does it have any significant meaning?

T. B. Grover was one of Johnâ??s original non-de plumes, long before he and Alan started working together. Whilst listening to a radio play John heard some kid whining â??Mum, Tubby Groverâ??s picking on me again!â? Tubby became T.B. and from there a legend was born.
